Grand harbour, Valletta and Vittoriosa tour – 6 hours or as requested

Our tour will start in Vittoriosa, which is one of the three cities, which can rightly claim to be the cradle of Maltese history. In 1530, the knights of St. John settled themselves here. Thus during our walking tour of the city, along the narrow streets and quaint alleys, we will be seeing also buildings, such as Auberges, where the knights lived, the Inquisitor’s Palace, the Hospital of the knights, which today houses a Benedictine convent, the St. Lawrence church and the old naval bakery, which is used today as the Malta Maritime museum.

We will drive then to Valletta, the capital of Malta. Valletta, Malta’s capital is a Unesco World heritage site and the European cultural capital for the year 2018. It is a living experience of Baroque architecture, a monument donated by the knights of St.John .Valletta is abundantly rich in sites to see and explore, intriguing historical buildings around every corner. Narrow streets are full of quaint cafés and bars. Malta’s capital boosts some of Europe’s finest art works, churches and palaces. The city provides a stunning view of Malta’s Grand Harbour, often described as the most beautiful in the Mediterranean.

The city is today one of Malta’s main tourist attractions, hosting among others the majestic St. John’s co-cathedral, the imposing bastions and a treasure of priceless paintings.
