South of Malta tour – 4 hours

Marsaxlokk

Explore the beauty of the South of Malta with us, where you will visit different sites, including Marsaxlokk, the Blue Grotto and Hagar Qim temple.

Our tour will start with Marsaxlokk, which is a popular fishing village in the southern-eastern part of Malta. It is a quaint fishing village, characterised by its colourful traditional fishing boats, known as ‘il-Luzzu’. Over here we will have some time to admire this lovely village and to look at the market, which sets up daily in this village.

Blue Grotto

Our tour will continue with a visit at the Blue Grotto. We will be having first a photo stop, to see the Blue Grotto from the top, a stunning view of the Grotto. One can also do an optional 20 minutes boat trip around these caves

There are over here numerous caves, of which the Blue Grotto is the largest. The cave gets its name from the effect of morning sunlight on the water around the cave, giving various shades of blue water.

Hagar Qim Temple

We will visit at the end of the tour the Hagar Qim temple, a Unesco World Heritage site. The Megalithic temples in Malta are considered to be the oldest freestanding monuments in the world, older than Stonehenge and the Pyramids.

Before entering the Temple, we will visit the visitor’s centre, which will help you understand how these temples were built around 5000 years ago.  We will then continue with a tour of the temple.
